NOTE: On each of the charts above, pay attention to the foods marked with an asterisk (*). Many of these foods are marked simply to indicate they are foods that have gone through a minimal amount of processing. In other cases they are marked as they may be:

• More calorically dense than other options
• Higher in trans-fat
• Higher in saturated fat
• Or simply, they are foods that are commonly prepared unfavorably.

With this in mind, keep things simple and limit these foods to a minimum when planning your meals.
